- This department is responsible for administering and enforcing the Town's Land Use, Shoreland Zoning Provisions, and Flood Plain Management ordinances.
- Administering and enforcing Federal, State, and Local regulations governing construction projects, land use, and environmental regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with these rules and regulations by reviewing plans prior to permitting and construction.
- Conducting ongoing inspections. Issuing all permits associated with construction projects (i.e. building, electrical, plumbing, and septic) and shoreland zone projects.
- Providing research, technical, and staff support to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Board.
The Town of Raymond DOES require electrical permits.
